Assessment criteria
& history

Innoscore for banks – both retail and private – has been running since 2017 (originally under the Finnoscore name). Over time, additional scores have been added. Only publicly accessible aspects of a company's online presence are assessed, primarily via the company's website. As we do not become a customer of any of the assessed companies, none of the content or features offered behind login security are taken into account.

Neutral perspective

It is particularly important to us that we provide a neutral assessment. Each company is assessed independently by several analysts, based on the principle of multiple control, separate from the other organizations.

To do this, we use a questionnaire with questions that are as objective as possible. The individual assessments are then cross-checked against each other in a quality assessment process. The questionnaire is optimized each year to ensure that the analysis remains state-of-the-art.

Working with universities

To ensure a neutral and independent assessment, we collaborate with academic partners who apply scientific standards to the evaluation. In the insurance sector, for example, we work with three universities:

Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU) in Switzerland,
V.E.R.S. Leipzig in Germany &
Joanneum University of Applied Sciences in Austria.

This academic collaboration underlines our commitment to maintaining objectivity and scientific rigor across all industries.
